Random Acts of Kindness
Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved
superheroes. As a child, I spent most of
my time wishing I could be the one with “special” powers. I always admired the powers they had and how
they always managed to save the day. I
was infatuated with the idea that one day I could be a superhero. I would jump off my bed trying to fly. I would try to move my parent’s car while it
was parked, I even once thought I could control the weather. It wasn’t until my teenage years, after my
addiction to Superheroes had faded that I learned it is not about the powers
someone possesses, but how they used their powers for the betterment of the
people. Even though I never figured out
how to get superpowers, I still tried to use what I had to help people. Actually, Rainbow was my guide into helping
people and it really gave me that first step into service work. Whether it was going to the nursing home to
play bingo, or even serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald house, I always found
a passion for helping those who were in need.
It really made me realize in the who scheme of life, anyone can Be
Someone’s Hero.
